Robert "Bob" Lee Chaffin Jr.'s Obituary
Robert (Bob) Lee Chaffin, Jr. (64) passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 at his home in Gainesville, Florida surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness.
He was born on May 1, 1956 in Pensacola, Florida and was a life-long resident of Gainesville, Florida. Bob was the son of Robert Lee Chaffin and Virginia (Meredith) Chaffin.
Bob was an HVAC-R Technician. He received extensive training and certifications in his chosen profession. Mr. Chaffin loved to share his passion for cooking on his grill with anyone who would listen. He loved to laugh, tel jokes and share his wicked sense of humor.
Bob is survived by his children Robert Lee Chaffin III and Raven Chaffin; siblings, Priscila A McDaniel (Michael) of High Springs, Florida; Susan R (Chaffin) Willingham (Bill) of Gainesville, Florida; Michael W. Chaffin (Connie) of Gainesville, Florida. He is also survived by his nephews Michael J McDaniel, Daniel S Willingham, Derek Willingham and Timothy Willingham; nieces Rebecca (McDaniel) Shuford, Jacqueline (Chaffin) Pintos (Jon), Tara (Willingham) Tiritto (Joe) and cousin Gloria (Buster) Butler. Bob is also survived by many cousins and friends. A special acknowledgement is made to his long-time friend Steve Willingham
Mr. Chaffin is pre-deceased by his son, Brian Chaffin, his partner, Gail Mathis, parents (Robert Lee Chaffin and Virginia Meredith), brother, Philip Buster and sister, Deborah Chaffin.
A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery (Gainesville, Florida) on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Call Williams-Thomas Funeral Home for additional information (williamsthomasfuneralhome.com). Memorial donations to your chosen charity are requested in lieu of flowers.
