Rita Elaine Adkinson's Obituary
Elaine Adkinson, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. She was born on June 8, 1925 in Pensacola, Florida. Elaine worked for many years at the Gainesville Gas Company and First Union Bank. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, gardening and socializing. She continued to dance into her 80’s. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and she loved her church family.
Elaine is survived by her sons, Dane and Jimmy; husband, Donald Swan; grandchildren, Josh, Cara and Ryan; great grandchildren, Will and Jillian and sister, Ruth Ann Hall-Williams.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 818 CR 20A in Johnson, with Dr. L.D. Osteen officiating. Burial will be Monday, May 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, 401 SE 21st Avenue, Gainesville.
