Dear Alice, the boys and family,
It was with great sadness that I saw the obituary of Richard's passing in the paper. Though for many years I only saw you and Richard once a year when you'd stop by my table at the Collectors Day at the Museum, I always looked forward to those brief visits. And getting to know him when you & I worked together I consider such a blessing. His kindness and warmth and sweet smile were such a gift to me and so many others. He was just such a sweet good man. After 51 years of marriage I know going on without him will be so very difficult. You are in my prayers as you journey through grief. Know I care and wish you comfort and peace. And as the Beatles sang "The love you take is equal to the love you make". Richard embodied that in the way he sent love out into the world and to you and Paul and Russell.
Peace and Love,
Miriam Welly Elliott
