Richard Anthony Powell, age 45 of Newberry, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014 in Shands UF Hospital. He was born September 3, 1968 in Gainesville, Florida. Richard enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his pets.
He is survived by his wife, Stacey Tussinger Powell of Newberry, FL; son, Zach Powell of Newberry, FL; step-daughters, Sarah Burns of Gainesville, FL and Sydney Tussinger of Newberry, FL; father, Richard E. Powell of Jacksonville, FL; mother and step-father, Ann and John Kincheloe of Hot Springs, AR; sister, Bree Fletcher of Gainesville, FL and three nephews and one niece.
Family and Friends will gather Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Center at Shands 1515 S.W. Archer Rd or the Heart Center at Shands 1600 S.W. Archer Rd both of Gainesville, FL 32608
