Richard E. "Dick" Perkins' Obituary
Richard E. “Dick” Perkins, Sr. age 75 of Jonesville passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016. He was born November 28, 1940 in Miami, FL to Otis and Edith Ellis Perkins.
Dick was a maintenance manager for Eastern Airlines and retired after 30 years and then went to work for Timco Aviation as director of maintenance. His passions were planes and trains. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Patricia “Pat” Perkins of Jonesville; children, Richard E. “Rick” Perkins, Debbie Valle, Ronnie Perkins and Chad Wood; grandchildren, Austin and Katie Valle, Ryan, Jordan, Lauren, Madison and Justin Perkins and Zakk and Zoe Wood.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street, Jonesville with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dick’s memory to Al’z Place, 1701 NW 80th Blvd #105, Gainesville, FL 32606.
