Richard Michael Cohen's Obituary
Richard Michael Cohen, born January 7, 1944, in Chelsea, Massachusetts to Samuel and Goldie Cohen.
Richard moved to Florida and attended Rawlings College and the University of Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Cohen; his brother, Milton (Deborah); daughters, Stacie (Craig) Maurer, Rachel Martin (Daniel); his stepchildren, Collin (Krystal) Wood, Brian Wood, and Robin Wood; 9 grandchildren, Eric, Delphine, Justin, Amelia and Tehaya, Avery, Graci, Logan and Tristan.
He was a retired Baptist minister, and a retired math professor of 42 years at Santa Fe College. He enjoyed his cat, his recliner and anything Boston sports related.
He passed peacefully at his home on May 7, 2024. He was loved and respected by many.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 P. M., a the Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Downtown, 404 North Main Street, Gainesville.
