Richard "Dick" Gorman's Obituary
Richard “Dick” Gorman, age 89, was called to Heaven on April 27, 2024. Dick, the son of William and Margaret Gorman, was born in Davenport, Iowa in 1935. He was raised in Miami and retired in Gainesville. He attended St. Theresa High School in Coral Gables. He was a proud member of University of Notre Dame’s class ‘57. LET’S GO IRSH! Preceding him in death are the love of his life and wife of 59 years Meg, as well as siblings Kit and Tom. He is survived by siblings: Gwen, Lois, & Mary; his children: Bill, Mike, Bob, Matt, & Jean. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 5:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Williams-Thomas Westarea 823 N.W. 143rd St. Newberry, FL.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 12:30 P.M. at Holy Faith Catholic Church 747 N.W. 43rd St. Gainesville, FL. Burial will follow in Hague Cemetery 12421 CR. 237 Alachua, FL.
