I will always remember Dick for his sense of humor and honesty, as well as his devotion to family. He was a good friend, golf buddy, and one that you could always talk to and with. His daughters were very faithful to his needs We will all miss him..and his ready smile. Kirk Mc Donald
I was lucky enough to have Dick as a mentor early on in my career. I succeeded him as Controller at the Dickinson Wright law firm in Detroit. While I was his Assistant Controller, he allowed me to take charge and participate as if I was making the final decisions, which made my transition to Controller that much easier. He was always there to give sage advice and encouraged me to voice my opinion. His humor, kindness and balanced approach to facing the issues at hand set a great example for me. I am very grateful and wish him eternal peace. My condolences to the Newberg family.
Mr. Newberg was a wonderful person who was so kind and with a great sense of humor. While I was growing up in Dearborn, Michigan without a father he helped fill that void for me. I have very fond memories of him taking Dave and me to football and baseball games at Tiger Stadium and walking us over to Lindbergh School where he would hit baseballs to us after dinner. He and Mrs. Newberg were such great friends with my mom and they shared many laughs together. The annual Newberg parties on late Christmas afternoon were legendary. They are a wonderful family and my thoughts are with them.
