Rick was like a father figure, an intelligent lawyer on MANY subjects, and both a golfing and coffee buddy to me, even though I am only 10 years younger. We joked about my Canadian (and Scottish) roots on many issues, talking about socialism vs the core principles of our now US homeland.
I loved, at the twice weekly coffee sessions at the Bistro, when he would raise his hand and in a simple voice say "too many conversations all at the same time", or "can I get a word in somewhere".
Rick was a stubborn golfer; "I will walk over that bridge on 10, and I will not put a ball retriever on the end of my putter until the Pros do". He was also a caustic wit at times, and I respected him very much for his somewhat British humo"u"r!
The most I will never forget Rick for was his appreciation of my wife Maura: "How did she get so unfortunate to marry down to you. She is such a lovely lady!" He was a good comrade.
Rick, please enjoy your eternal life with God, and say a good word for all of us still on Earth. You might need you to litigate for us.
Sincerely,
Allan (and Maura) Chrystal
