Richard Dale Beckham's Obituary
Richard Dale Beckham “Hillbilly” 64, of Hawthorne, Florida, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021. Ricky is survived by his wife of 16 years, Idell Beckham and their much-loved fur baby Cody. He was also blessed with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ricky was born in Gainesville, FL on May 5, 1956 to parents Clarence and Betty Beckham. As a young man Ricky grew watermelons with his Dad. He continued to farm, run tractors, and heavy equipment on and off throughout his life.
Ricky was a self- employed truck driver for many years. It was during these times he found the beautiful river rock that would become part of Hillbilly Rocks and eventually led to an affiliation with his friend’s at Green House Nursery.
One of Ricky’s favorite things to do was cook. If you never had the pleasure of eating his food, you truly missed out. He was generous with his time and his food. He often cooked for friends and was always willing to cook for people whatever the need. Fishing was also a big favorite of his and he would often have a fish fry for friends and family.
Ricky touched so many people throughout his life. He was one of the best friends you could ever ask for. Ricky was much loved and will be missed by many. The world seems a little less bright without you friend. May you rest in eternal peace.
