Rebecca "Becky" Lynn Withey's Obituary
Rebecca “Becky” Lynn Withey of High Springs, FL passed away September 4th 2021. She was 58 years old. Becky was born November 4th 1962 in Gainesville, FL to Vincent Kelly and Jane Godshall. Becky attended GHS and later achieved her associates degree from Vincennes University. She was notably a case worker for the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office. Becky was also a hair stylist in Gainesville for 25 years. Her main passion was loving and caring and for her family as a stay-at-home Gigi. When Becky wasn’t crocheting baby blankets for family and friends; she was soaking up the sun poolside.
Becky was preceded in death by her father, Vincent Kelly of Jacksonville and her grandparents, H.B. and Bernice Kelly of Gainesville.
Becky is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Walter “Wally” Allen Withey JR; her daughters, Lisa Goolsby and Amanda Neiss (Aaron) of High Springs; her mother Jane Godshall (David); her sister, Sherry Clemons of Kansas; and her granddaughter’s, Alexia and Zoe Neiss.
Mrs. Withey’s service will be held at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home 823 N.W. 143RD Street Newberry FL 32669 on Saturday the 18th of September at 1PM. Family and friends are invited to arrive at 12PM to attend her visitation. The family is requesting you wear something purple in her honor as that was her favorite color.
