A beautiful service, I will forever associate amazing grace with her burial. Maybe it's no secret that Mom and I didn't see eye to eye at the time of her death. Saying goodbye was bittersweet to say the least but I got to hold her hand and pray with her, bless her, and kiss her goodbye. The other hymn that reminds me of Momma is "walk over Heaven with you." We sweetly sang it together in Sparr Baptist Church in the early 2000's and it's still my earnest hope to see her on the streets of gold in the sweet bye in bye. Her life and times should be remembered as a celebration, she was spontaneous, dignified, compassionate, and strong for everybody who needed her. You will forever live in my best memories as my friend, I wanna walk over Heaven with you Momma.
Ann, you truly gave me one of the best gifts ever, your son, Michael. I am forever grateful for the son you helped raise who became my supportive, kind husband, and fantastic father to our three sons. I will miss your free spirit and unique take on life. I know you look great up in Heaven because you told me and showed me in my dream. I wish you peace and happiness. We will meet again someday!
Many memories of my sweet sister. One of my favorites was when she was chosen as Home Coming Queen her senior year in Melrose High School. She was so surprised because she was very humble and totally unassuming, one of her great qualities. She was unflappable; truly Pollyanna. Full of love of nature. Trusting everyone. Loving and kind-hearted. There will never be another like her unfortunately. I'll never stop missing her beautiful smile and sparkling blue eyes! I know she's gone to heaven...God bless her soul. More Than Words.... My dear Aunt Ann, while there is understandably so much time that has passed not being present in your life, the few spare hours in the past five years with you have given me a joyous peek into the unique person you were: that is, one insistently grounded with a Mother's temperament, but guided by her Father's free spirit, yet thrown into an alien world at a formative age with so many impressionables of nature including: rivers, peoples, skyscrapers, trees, friends, trains, wildlife, schools, television, earthworks, etc. This uniqueness is what made me admire, smile & laugh every time I saw you at our Sister Summits or Thanksgiving holidays in that short time. I will miss those moments dearly, and will remember you like a Mockingbird does a Sunset.
