Reba C. Faison's Obituary
Reba C. Faison, age 86, of Gainesville, Florida passed away on February 2, 2026. Reba was born in Brooksville, FL to the late Rev. B.E. Chesser and Bertha Munn Chesser on January 14, 1940. Reba grew up in Baker County, FL, moved to Washington DC where she worked as a secretary for the federal government and IBM and met & married the love of her life Tom Faison. Reba & Tom moved to Boyds and Damascus Maryland where she raised her daughters as a stay-at-home mom. Reba & Tom retired to Gainesville, FL where she lived the rest of her life enjoying the warm Florida sun.
Reba was a Life Master bridge player, avid quilter, reader, writer and received her Bachelor of Arts degree at Hood College. Reba was a lover of the ocean and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Reba & Tom built a house in Salvo, NC on Hatteras Island and spent many years enjoying the quiet solitude of the island. Reba had an infectious laugh that always ignited a smile from others and loved bright colors with red being her favorite color.
Reba was a loving wife of 63 years, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was predeceased by her brother Adrian Chesser and sisters Elaine Crews and Naomi Davis. Reba is survived by her husband Tom Faison, twin sister Ruth Munn of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, brothers Wesley Chesser (Shirley) of Lakeland, FL and Wendell Chesser (Sharon) of Cleveland, GA; daughters Lesley Lile (Bill) of Milton, FL and Erica Worrell (Bob) of Westampton, NJ; Grandchildren: Sydney (Jacob), Emily (Zach), Kelsi (Thomas), Taylor (Mark), Kyle (Abby), Jared (Estrella), Lindi and Skylar. Great grandchildren Zia and Asa and 4 more great grandchildren on the way!
