Raymond I. Amiel's Obituary
Raymond I. Amiel, age 87 of Gainesville, Florida, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015. He was born December 27, 1927 in Jerusalem, Palestine to Abraham and Simcha Isaiah Amiel.
He was raised in Palestine and then lived in Israel, Morocco and France before immigrating to New York City in 1958. He relocated to Gainesville, Florida in May 2014. He obtained a Masters in Business Administration from Baruch College, taught college level accounting and then worked as a certified public accountant in New York State. He was preceded in death by his wife Madeleine to whom he was married for 60 years.
He is survived by his son, Michael Amiel and his wife Jennifer, daughter, Aline Halimi and her husband, Jean-Michel, sister, Rachel Rousseau, brother, Yossef, grandchildren, Sean Amiel, James Amiel, David Halimi, Joshua Halimi, Eli Halimi and Sara Halimi.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday, March 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., in B'nai Israel Cemetery, corner of University Ave. and Waldo Rd. with Rabbi David Kaiman officiating.
