Raquel (Rocky) Dela Cruz Gnad's Obituary
Raquel “Rocky” Dela Cruz Gnad, age 68, passed away on February 21, 2021.
Raquel was born on November 23, 1952, in Tacloban, Philippines to Epifanio and Adrian Brosas. Rocky and her husband Mark were posted in many places during his military career with the US Navy. They lived in Kapolei, Hawaii on the island of Oahu for 20 years before moving to Gainesville, Florida in 2002.
Rocky was retired from the Villages of Gainesville where she spent 15 years working as the Catering Manager.
She loved to cook, and enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers, plants, and pets.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years Mark, and her son; Ed Gnad and his wife Sandi, and grandchildren Zane Seibel and Malia Gnad.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at 9:00 A.M. at Holy Faith Catholic Church 747 N.W. 43rd Street Gainesville, Florida 32607 with Fr. Emmanuel as Celebrant. The family will receive friends from 8:30 to 9:00 am at Holy Faith Catholic Church.
