Kitty (Rajala) Overbo
Ramona and “Doc” Syversson were very special in the tiny northern Minnesota town of Bigfork, MN. Ramona was always an outgoing and friendly person, and she was the height of elegance, gracing their pharmacy and gift shop. They, both Doc and Ramona, exuded classiness and refinement.
But the height of our relationship was that she accepted the position of Co-leader, with my mom Agnes Rajala, of our Girl Scout troop and she was a tireless, positive role model for our troop. She inspired us with her cheerful wit and indomitable spirit. And she also, helped us learn the team spirit and togetherness when we camped in beautiful and pristine but primitive forest and lake side campsites in remote locations. She embodies the respect that we needed to show for nature and was uncompromising in her moral values of treating each other and our leaders with respect. I am so fortunate to have know her and to have been shaped by her amazing strengths and femininity. She was an incomparable role model for me and my sisters and many others. God bless her memory.
