Ramon Luis Ramos' Obituary
Ramon Luis Ramos,107, of Gainesville, FL, passed away on January 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Ramon was born December 13, 1918, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, to Angel and Saturnina Ramos. He touched countless lives through a long career in the hospitality industry, where his friendly nature and enduring positive attitude left a lasting impression on others.
Ramon was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juana, in 2019, and by his sons, David and Mark.
He is survived by his daughters, Carmen, Vilma, Joanna, and Diana; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, sharing stories, and enjoying breakfast out together. Ramon’s kind spirit, steadfast faith, and devotion to family will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3870 NW 16th Blvd., Gainesville. Following the memorial service, the family will receive friends for a reception and gathering at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Downtown, 404 N Main St., Gainesville, from 2:30-4:30p.m.
