I am Sundararaman from Chennai India. I am a childhood friend of Dr.Ramani & studied in school with him upto 1970. He was very close to me & we were always together. I last visited him in 1984 at Bangalore & lost touch with him afterwards. Through common friends I came to know his sad demise. May god give his family all the courage to bear this great loss. May his soul rest in peace.

Our condolences to Uma and Dr. Ramani’s children. Both Charlotte and I have fond memories of a cultured,, soft spoken gentle man. As division chief I enjoyed his thoughtful participation in clinical care and residency education. His deep humanism was evident in his service with Doctors without Borders. He will be missed.

I worked with Dr Ramani at UF. He was incredibly knowledgeable and insightful and during our meetings and was quick to point out a rational that came from his years of experience.
He was warm and caring as a doctor. He treated patients and staff with kindness and respect.
