Ralph Meade Wilson's Obituary
Ralph Meade Wilson, 90, of Williston, Florida, passed away on June 18, 2015 in Shands UF Hospital. He was born on April 8, 1925 in Fowlstown, Georgia to the late William R. and Fannie Emma Carr Wilson. Ralph was a WWII Navy veteran active on D-Day in the English Channel. He was in Patton’s Baby Navy crossing the Rhine River. He was a member of DAV and AMVETS.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Davis Wilson, and also two brothers and two sisters, who passed away in the order of their birth. He is survived by his four children, Alice Wilson Glick, Elizabeth Wilson Davis (Bobby), Robert Wilson, and Wayne Wilson; his sister, Virginia Surrency; two grandchildren, Lacie Glick, and Robert Davis III (Annalisa), and two great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 10:00am in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 N Main Street, with Dr. Don McGarity officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Central with military honors. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 5:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.
