Ralph W. Hutchins, Sr.'s Obituary
Ralph W. Hutchins, Sr., age 85 of Hawthorne passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023. He was born February 13, 1938 in Summerville, Georgia to William Taft and Pearl Jane Deering Hutchins.
Ralph was a member of the Gainesville – Hawthorne Hunting Club. He loved to go fishing and to the hunting camp. He enjoyed scratch off tickets, Gator sports and spending time with his family. Ralph was a Navy veteran and a lifelong resident of Hawthorne.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Gail Hutchins, sons, Ralph W. Hutchins, Jr. and Charlie Stewart Hutchins; sister, Francis Stanley (Floyd); brother, Joe Hutchins; nephew, Wilbur Hutchins; grandsons, Justin Hutchins and Chris Fetzer; granddaughters, Brittany McCall and Melanie Sanders; six great grand nieces and nephews. Also, many other nieces, nephews, and many many friends.
He was preceded in death by Chester Hutchins, Helen Bacon and Jeriel Hutchins.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Williams-Thomas Hawthorne Funeral Home. 22205 SE 69th Ave. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church, 22027 SE 65th Ave., Hawthorne with Pastor Shawn Goode officiating. Burial will follow in Hawthorne Cemetery.
