Phyllis was my piano teacher. She was endlessly patient with me, and as an added treat, I became quite close to her family. I moved from Florida to the mountains of western North Carolina and lost touch with her some years ago, but I am proud to be Facebook friends with her daughter Jolene. I send the whole family my deepest sympathy.

For 80 years, Phyllis served God with her music. She and her music have brought so much joy and comfort over the years. And what a trouper! Even through pain and failing eyesight, she continued to serve. In spite of her troubles, she (and Frank) always baked a Thanksgiving turkey for Catholic Charities. We are blessed that Phyllis shared her talents with St. Philip Neri parish.
Always with a SMILE Aunt Phyllis would welcome us into her home when my husband and I were newly married. We have many fond memories of spending weekends with her and Jolene hanging out in Hawthorne. Fishing, swimming, grilling what we were able to catch or what Aunt Phyllis caught at the fish camp in Palatka. Thoughtful, loving, generous and kind are our memories of Aunt Phyllis. We will dearly miss her. Our condolences to all her family.

Mom, so full of life and fiercely loved her family. Together is the only was to survive.
Grief is the last act of love we have to give those we loved. Where ther is deep grief, there was deep love.♥️
