Phyllis Louise Burns Domenico, age 98, of Williston, Fl was born into eternal life on Friday July 12, 2024.
Phyllis was born October 22, 1925 in Boston, Ma. to John Burns and Margaret Cashman. She and her husband and son lived in Clinton, Ma. until 1988 when they moved to Bronson, Fl.
Phyllis had several jobs through her life but none as special as caring for the Priests throughout her life. She finally retired at the age of 80 from Holy Family Catholic Church in Williston. Her memories of the priests were forever in her heart—from Fr. Nick, Fr. Jim, Fr. Paul, Fr. Rodolfo, Fr. Rob to newly ordained Fr. Zach. She was an active member for many years! She was involved in The Ladies Guild, Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Sisters of St. Joseph and The Angel House.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her loving husband Ray Domenico of 55 years. Also, preceded in death by her son Peter Domenico in August of 2021.
Phyllis leaves behind many friends and family from her time in Massachusetts and her Holy Family friends in Williston and Bronson. She enjoyed her time withThe Golden Girls as they called themselves and will be missed by her somewhat adopted family The Hardys from Williston. They called her Grammy Phyllis from the oldest Grandson now 24 to the youngest 8. Someone once said she never had any biological grandchildren but she truly had more than she could count.
A funeral to honor Phyllis’s life will be Thursday July 18th
at 10:00 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Williston. She will be buried along side her husband at The National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fl.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Haven Hospice who took wonderful compassionate care of her, or Holy Family CatholicChurch.
