Peter H. Skeris' Obituary
Peter H. Skeris was born June 9, 1942, to Gustav and Adelaide Skeris in Lynbrook, NY. He was the brother to Carl and Fred.
He married Frances Thurman on April 3, 1965. Together they had Sandy, Peter, Tracy, Carolyn and Stephanie. He was the grandfather to Ryne, Kyle, Kaylee, Tyler, Peter, Christian, Evan, Alyson, Jaiden, Addyson, Austin, Duncan, and Tyler.
He volunteered with the Lynbrook Fire Department for more than 60 years, holding the rank of Ex-Chief and Honorary Fire Commissioner. He served as a Firefighter with FDNY, retiring after 28 years. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Viewing will be Monday, July 5. 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with service to follow at 12:00 p.m. at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Downtown, 404 N Main Street, Gainesville, FL.
