Paul Whitlock McArthur's Obituary
Paul Whitlock McArthur, 82, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away on March 4, 2026.
Born on April 26, 1943, in Gainesville, Florida, Paul was the son of the late Owen Page and Pauline McArthur. He lived his entire life in Gainesville, where he graduated from high school, playing baseball and basketball. Paul attended Central Florida Community College in Ocala.
Paul had a successful career as a land developer and custom home builder with Paul McArthur Builders Inc. in Gainesville for 48 years. He loved playing golf and going fishing, and for several years, he played on a traveling softball team called the Green Machines. Paul also loved music and played drums in a band called The Rare Breed. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend, known for his passion for sports, music, and his unwavering commitment to his loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria Kay McArthur; his children: Kimberly McArthur Hagins, Kristina L. Groselle and her husband Daniel Groselle, Paul W. McArthur Jr. and his wife Keisha McArthur, daughter Melissa Glaze and her husband Bret Glaze, and son Lance Mauck and his wife Jennie Mauck; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Plantation Hall in the Haile Village Center, 5100 SW 91st Terrace, Gainesville, FL 32608.
