We live in the same neighborhood as Paul did and when we moved in over ten years ago Paul befriended us on his regular walks. He always had a few minutes to chat and share jokes. He was always a bright spot in a hectic day, and helped me remember to enjoy the small moments with my children. He took charming photos of me with my kids when we were out walking. He would bring us the printed photos and they are some of my favorites. I will miss him very much, and am so lucky to have my special memories of him which will stay with me.

I do not know Mr Gillespie, but his beautiful smiling face caught my eye today when reading the Gainesville Sun news. His picture inspired me to read the wonderfully written memorial about him and his life. I wish to express my deepest sympathy to his family and those who had the privilege of knowing him and calling him 'friend'.
