Paul John Casagrande's Obituary
Paul John Casagrande, 48, passed away on June 21, 2018, after a near life time struggle with Type 1 diabetes and its complications. Paul was born on November 27, 1969 and was a lifelong resident of Gainesville. He attended local schools, Santa Fe College, and later became a licensed massage therapist. Paul was also a talented bass guitar player who, in years past, played with local groups.
He is survived by his mother, Juanita Casagrande; his sister Marie (James) Harper; nephew Charles Harper; nieces Adrienne and Margaret Harper; cousins Anne (Jose) Delafuente and Mark (Melanie) Casagrande; and many caring friends. He was predeceased by his father, Jean (JC) Casagrande.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Saturday, June 30, at 11:30 a.m., in the chapel of WILLIAMS THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York NY 10004.
