Patty Jo Shepherd's Obituary
Patty Jo Shepherd, 82, of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at Magnolia Ridge, following a short residence with them. Ms. Shepherd’s children would like to thank the kind and compassionate staff of Magnolia Ridge and Haven Hospice for the care they extended to our mother. Ms. Shepherd was born in Summerville, Georgia on February 27, 1943, and moved to Florida in the early 60’s with the love of her life and late husband Charles Otis Shepherd. Ms. Shepherd was a Christian and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Gainesville.
Ms. Shepherd was born in Summerville, Georgia on February 27, 1943, daughter of the late Joe Henry Bridges and Ada Mae Rosser Bridges. She was retired for many years after having worked for the Alachua County School Board, Vital Industries, Pepsi Cola Company and Zales Jewelry. Along with her parents, Ms. Shepherd was preceded in death by her late husband, Charles Otis Shepherd and brother, Jerry Don Bridges.
Ms. Shepherd is survived by a son, Christopher Shepherd, a daughter, Angela Shepherd Keen, and grandchildren: David Shepherd, Heather Hunter, Ronnie Keen III and Emily Keen, and great grandchildren Eric Horner, Axel Keen, Cash Keen, Cooper Alderman, Jameson Alderman and Isaiah Shepherd.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Providence Cemetery in Windsor, FL.
