Patrick Tomás Pacanins' Obituary
Patrick Tomás Pacanins, age 25 of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015. He was born in Gainesville on July 7, 1989 to Tomás and Cindi Pacanins. For most of his life he lived in Allen, Texas and returned to his native Gainesville two years ago where he was a student at Santa Fe Community College. Patrick will be remembered for his sharp wit and sense of humor as well as for his ability to find the good in anybody or situation. Patrick was an avid weight lifter and dreamed of one day opening a gym where he could coach people to achieve their ambitions in the way that others in his life had helped him achieve his goals. Family was very important to Patrick, and he leaves behind relatives who are proud of his willingness to work for his goals regardless of how insurmountable they seemed.
Patrick is survived by his mother, Cindi Pacanins; father and bonus mom, Tomás and Paula Pacanins; sister, Emily Pacanins; grandparents, Bill and Dora Holdsworth of Gainesville, FL and Ted and Gail Henry of Cartersville, GA; aunts and uncles: Francisco, Carlos, Maria Teresa, Raye, Judy, Munir, Louis, Kelly, Patrick, Kim, Billy, and Matt. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with his girlfriend Amanda (Aryana) Hall who brought him so much joy.
He is preceded in death by Carlos and Patsy Pacanins of Caracas, Venezuela.
A Celebration of Patrick’s life will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143RD Street, Jonesville/Newberry with Rev. Barry Preston officiating. A reception will follow the service. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Central, 4100 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville.
