Patricia Jones Whittington's Obituary
Patricia Jones Whittington, age 88 of Alachua, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016 at E.T. York Care Center. Patricia was born March 23, 1928 in Henderson County, Kentucky to Willis and Maude Thornberry Jones.
She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Whittington in 2009. She is survived by her children, Suzanne W. Posselt, Mary J. Herron and Robert C. Whittington; two grandsons, three granddaughters and two great grandchildren.
A Celebration of her Life will be held after morning service, beginning at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 826 NW 23rd Avenue with Rev. Harry Holloway officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
