Patricia "Pat" Penson Thompson's Obituary
Patricia “Pat” Penson Thompson, age 82 of High Springs, FL passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018. She was born September 9, 1936 in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Mrs. Thompson was the founder and owner of Thompson Flower Shop in High Springs for many years. She loved being with her family especially with her grandchildren and she enjoyed decorating for the holidays. She was an active member of Forest Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Maurice “Sonny” Thompson and her brother, Woodrow Penson.
She is survived by her children, Gregory L. Thompson (Noel) of Alachua, FL and Lynn Holton of Gainesville, FL; sister, Mary Jane Mundy of Ft. Myers, FL; eight grandchildren, Michelle, Jennifer, Molly, Maddy, Nikki, Kelly, Garrett and Matthew; four great grandchildren, Taylor, Ashley, William and Hayden.
Celebration of Life will be held Monday, October 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Grove Baptist Church, 22575 NW 94th Ave, Alachua. Interment will follow in Forest Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friend one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.
