Patricia Ann Smar's Obituary
Patricia Ann Klimock Smar, age 71, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on
April 27, 2014 at Shands UF Health after a courageous battle with Chronic
Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. She was the beloved wife for 48 years of
Senior Master Sergeant George M. Smar, USAF, Retired. Patricia was born on
April 20, 1943 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late
Joseph A. and Anna V. Klimock. She was a devoted Air Force wife, loving
mother, and doting grandmother. Patricia loved frequently visiting Disney
World with her family, and caring for her beloved dog Mickey. She was a
gentle soul with a selfless nature and is greatly loved by all who were
fortunate to know her. Patricia will be profoundly missed, but we rejoice
in knowing that she will spend all eternity in heaven as our special angel.
Patricia is also survived by her daughter Lori Ann Smar Hiebert and husband
Tim of Gainesville, Florida, six grandchildren, Lindsey Marie, Aubrey
Victoria, Timothy Patrick, Jr., Donald George, Brady Christopher and Ansley
Patricia, her sister Marie Krutsick of Lansford, Pennsylvania, as well as
numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Mickey. She was preceded
in death by her brother Joseph Klimock, Jr.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St.
Patrick's Catholic Church in Gainesville, with Fr. Alan Bower as celebrant.Burial will follow in
Florida National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 6, 2014,
8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street, Gainesville, FL.
