Patricia R. Ryan's Obituary
Patricia R. Ryan of Hawthorne passed away on her 86th birthday, Thursday, February 26, 2015 in E.T. York Care Center. She was born in Palm Beach, Florida to the late Percy and Jacqueline Waters Raleigh. Mrs. Ryan grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, a graduate of Landon High School and moved to Defuniak. In 1963 she moved to Hawthorne where she owned Oak Crest Enterprises until buying The Yearling Restaurant in Cross Creek in 1972 and operating it through 1991.
Mrs. Ryan is survived by her husband, James John Ryan; daughter, Nancy Bennett (Larry); sons, Jack Herman (Lana) and Steve Herman (Julie); sister, Tootsie Smith and several grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
There will be no services conducted. Those who wish may make memorials to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
