Patricia "Trissie" Thomas Richardson's Obituary
Patricia “Trissie” Thomas Richardson was a caring, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She gained her angel wings on October 20, 2021, at the age of 76.
Patricia was born on August 11, 1945, to John R. Thomas and Margaret Marie Bryant Thomas in Gainesville and was a lifelong Florida resident. Patricia graduated from Gainesville High School in 1964. She attended the Powell Beauty Academy and became a hairdresser during her senior year of High School. She worked a short time as a hairdresser before accepting a position as the nursing staff coordinator with Shands Hospital where she retired after 30 years.
Patricia is survived by her husband Raymond Richardson of Orange Springs; daughter, Angela Wilkerson of Chiefland; son, Randy (Belinda) Wilkerson of Chiefland; four grandchildren Daniel (Chelsey) Fussell of Trenton; Kaitlin (Jacob) Osteen of Ft. White, Ashley, and Alana Wilkerson of Chiefland; sister, Shirlene (James) Mehaffey of Gainesville, brother, John R. (Diane) Thomas of Gainesville; brother, Ronald F. Thomas of Hawthorne; four great-grandchildren, Cayson Fussell, Brinlee Fussell, Ava Osteen, and Ezra Fussell.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents John R. Thomas and Margaret Bryant Todd and one sister Sharon Anderson.
Patricia was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church; she loved her Lord and Savior and had an unwavering Faith. She was an active member of her Church and believed in the power of prayer. She was a known as a mighty prayer warrior.
Patricia loved lighthouses and spending time at the beach. She had a keen and witty sense of humor and kept her family and friends laughing. She also had a passion for her family genealogy she put in many hours of research delving into her ancestry.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Meadows Cemetery East 3700 S.W. Hawthorne Rd. Gainesville, FL.
