Patricia "Patty" Ann Crawford's Obituary
The extraordinary life of Patricia (Patty) Ann Crawford began on June 1, 1952, in College Point, NY as the only daughter of 4 children born to Wally and Ann Crawford. Patty left this earthly life suddenly and unexpectedly on November 2, 2022, as the result of a fall.
After moving to Gainesville, FL Patty attended Westwood Jr. High and Gainesville High School where her passion for singing, acting, and movies was ignited. She got married and moved to Atlanta, GA where she worked in television. Patty became the mother of Jennifer, the love of her life, whose very premature birth caused numerous health issues for Jennifer. Patty’s dedication to Jennifer’s health, education, and well-being was monumental and unwavering.
Patty and Jennifer later returned to Gainesville. Patty worked writing scripts, screenplays, and books and editing/producing short films. Most recently, she was working on producing a movie that she wrote. Above all of this, she was Jennifer’s mom. Patty loved her family and her many steadfast friends. She adored her many cats, dogs, and horses. Patty was always “the fun one” wherever she was. She loved jokes and pranks, especially on her brother Robert. She was always the one who lifted you up when you needed it and would always ask “What can I do for you?” Everyone who loved her now has a Patty-sized hole in their hearts.
Patty is survived by her father Wally, her daughter Jennifer, her brothers William, Doug (Sheryl), and Robert (Lorie), nieces Alyssa “Sunshine” (Chris) and Brittany, nephews Kyle, Patrick, and Blake, great nephews Christopher, Adam, and Jack, and many loving friends. She was predeceased by her mother Ann.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 19th at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church 500 N.W. 16th Ave. Gainesville, FL. with Fr. Lawrence Peck as celebrant. A reception will follow at the church.
