I remember the long conversations that we had, over the phone. We spoke in French. She mentioned anecdotes about her childhood . Then we spoke in Spanish and could not stop laughing. The conversation continued in Creole and we exchanged cooking recipes. We discussed life in New-York, using English. We had fun reminiscing about the years past. When we met in Crystal River, we became closer, we even prayed together, sometimes .The phone calls stopped , and the memories lingered . I will miss you, "vye zanmi'm" , "estimada amiga"," tres chere amie", "beloved friend". I am glad that we were neighbors, even for a brief moment. "REQUIESCAT IN PACE."
