Pamela "Pam" J. Wright's Obituary
Pamela J. “Pam” Wright, 65, resident of Gainesville, Florida, died Thursday, April 17, 2014, in the E. T. York Hospice Care Center, following a two year long battle with cancer.
Ms. Wright was born in Orlando, Florida on October 23, 1948; she was raised in Miami, Florida, graduating from North Miami High School in 1966. After extensive schooling, she became a Para Legal, working for attorneys in Miami, Ft. Myers, Denver, Seattle and Gainesville. She enjoyed her career; she had many friends, mostly in the legal profession and was last employed in Gainesville, by attorney Larry Turner. Pam was of the Baptist faith, attending several churches and was a professing Christian. She enjoyed her dog “Maggie” and her cat “Winnie”. She was preceded in death by her father, Herman C. Wright.
She is survived by her mother, Bonnie Ison, of Gainesville; her brother and his wife, H. L. and Barbara Wright, of Gainesville; a nephew, John Wright and a niece Bonnie Dorsey, and their families.
A celebration of Pam’s life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., in the Chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street, with Bro. Ray DeBush, pastor of the Country Crossroads Baptist Church, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 N.W. 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
