Pamela Alkire Bozeman's Obituary
Pamela Alkire Bozeman passed away on February 26, 2025, at the age of 71. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 28, 1953, to Robert W. and Carol Clark Alkire.
Pamela grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina. She graduated from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina. She moved to Gainesville, Florida in 1984.
Pamela worked as an insurance claims adjuster for many years eventually retiring from Nationwide Insurance after an impressive career.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, gardening and loved her dogs and other animals she adopted and raised over the years. Pamela was always there for her children and loved her children and grandchildren dearly.
Pamela is preceded in death by her parents, Robert W. Alkire and Carol C. Alkire, and infant sister, Karen S. Alkire.
Pamela is survived by her children, Kenneth W. Smith (Heather), Laura A. Perkins (Michael), and Robert A. Bozeman; stepchildren, Bryan Smith, April Wetherington, Robin McGuire, and James Bozeman, Jr.; brothers, Steven R. Alkire (Deidre) and Richard W. Alkire (Kimberly); grandchildren, Elizabeth Miller, Hunter Bozeman, Colton Bozeman, Hannah Smith, Milah Smith, Holly Perkins, Kinley Perkins, and Bodey Perkins; and many more who loved her greatly.
A celebration of Pamela’s life will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS WESTAREA, 823 N.W. 143rd Street Newberry, Florida, with Dr. Don McGarity officiating. Interment will follow in Newnansville Cemetery, 12308 W State Rd 235 Alachua, Florida. Family will receive friends 12:00 PM noon until the service begins on March 7, 2025, at Williams-Thomas Westarea Chapel.
