Opalene Cleo Lovvorn's Obituary
Mrs. Opalene Cleo Lovvorn, 81, resident of Archer, Florida, died Thursday, May 21, 2015, in the North Florida Regional Medical Center, following a long illness.
Mrs. Lovvorn was born on September 19, 1933, one of eleven children, born to Lily Hyde Duke. She moved with her family to Lakeland, Florida, and moved to north Florida in 1953, where she lived the rest of her life. Mrs. Lovvorn enjoyed gardening, and for a time owned her own nursery, A Country Garden. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Archer. She was preceded in death in 2001, by her husband of 50 years, Mr. Hoyt Wallis Lovvorn.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Clark) Scarborough, and Sheila (David) Taylor; four sons, Allen (Gayle) Lovvorn, Rickey (Julia) Lovvorn, James (Donna) Lovvorn, and Danny (Kelly) Lovvorn. Sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at 3:00 P. M., in the 1st Baptist Church of Archer, with Rev. J. O. Jackson and Rev. Warren Gilpin, officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 P. M., in the church.
