Opal C. Catlow's Obituary
Opal C. Catlow, age 95 of Alachua passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016. She was born March 1, 1921 in Appleton City, Missouri to Louis Henry and Katherine Grannemann Harms.
She was a lifetime member of local #655 UFCW in St Louis, MO. She raised her family in St Louis and then moved to Florida in 1985. She was an avid reader, her family was her life.
She is survived by her eight children, Edward “Ed” Catlow (Maureen), Dennis Catlow (Elaine), Kenneth Catlow (Francisca), Donna Thiemann (Jerry), Robert Catlow, D. Tim Catlow (Laura), Mary Catlow (Marc) and Doris Lynch (Gary); sister, Clara Herr; thirteen grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Edward Moore Catlow and her daughter Karen Adams.
A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 9700 W. Newberry Rd. with Rev. Alan Struckmeyer officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd Street. A graveside service will be held Monday, May 16, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in Lee Memorial Park, Lehigh Acres, FL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, P. O. Box 641270 Beverly Hills FL 34464.
