Oakley Jones' Obituary
Oakley Faye Jones, sweet daughter of Cody and Olivia “Livie” passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024, at just 6 months old. Oakley was born in Gainesville Fl to Cody and Livie Faye on July 1, 2024.
Her momma loved the color purple on her. She loved to talk to her daddy and grab his beard. Her oldest brother loved to squish her chubby cheeks and stick his tongue at her (which she copied). Her big sister always wanted to hold her; Oakley fell asleep in her arms every time. Her second big brother loved to read to her and brush her hair. She was so sweet and her smile melted everyone’s heart. She will always be known as Oakie, a nickname her daddy made up.
Oakie will always be remembered as a beautiful, sweet chubby baby girl. She was a fighter and brought so much joy to her family. She had a side eye that meant business. Her parents will forever argue if she was a momma’s girl or daddies’ girl. Oakie was loved by many.
Oakie is survived by her parents Cody and Livie, brothers; Rodney and Clayton, Sister; Blakeley, Maternal grandparents; Nita and Butch, Paternal grandmother; Teresa.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Jonesville Baptist Church, 17722 S.W. 15th Ave. Newberry, Fl. with Pastor Corey Cheramie and Pastor Rocky McKinley officiating. Interment will follow in Newberry Cemetery, 25909 SW 15th Ave Newberry, FL 32669.
