Nora Zakia Gettings' Obituary
Nora Zakia Gettings was born on March 18th, 2022. She surprised her Mother and Father by arriving 10 weeks early, weighing 2 pounds and 4 ounces. Nora was eager to enter the world, and the world became a brighter place the day she was born. During the short time, she was with us, the amount of joy and love she brought her family was indescribable. Her tiny hands wrapped around her parents’ fingers perfectly, and her gentle presence was enough to bring anyone to tears. She was so strong and fought hard to stay with her family, but God had other plans for her. We take comfort in knowing that she is now our angel, and her Mother and Father will live the rest of their lives with one foot in heaven alongside her.
Nora is survived by her Mother, Gina; her Father, Daniel; her Grandparents, Sam and Mary Akly, and Scott and Linda Gettings; her Aunts, Christy, Lisa, and Alice; her Uncles, Niaz and Michael; and her cousins, Zeina and Elias, along with numerous extended family members who have loved her and prayed for her from afar. She will forever be our angel, the most beautiful gift we have ever received, and our bright, brilliant little light.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 12:00 noon at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea Chapel 823 N.W. 143rd street Newberry with Pastor Dan Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Medows Central.
