Nona Mary Brackney's Obituary
Nona Mary Brackney, 71, resident of Archer, Florida, former longtime resident of Catlin, Illinois, died Friday, February 13, 2015, in the E. T. York Haven Hospice Care Center, Gainesville, Florida.
Mrs. Brackney was born in York, Pennsylvania on June 19, 1943, to the late Robert and Nona Estella Linkous. She lived most of her life in Catlin, Illinois, before moving to Florida, following the death of her husband, Mr. James R. Brackney, in 2012. Mrs. Brackney was of the Catholic faith. She was also preceded in death by one son, Kenneth A. Brackney, and a sister, Sandra Ward.
She is survived by a son, Jeffery R. (Debra) Brackney, of Archer, Florida, and one daughter, Lee Ann (Paul) Mattingley, of Georgetown, Illinois. Six Grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
