Nina Bryant Ring's Obituary
Nina Bryant Ring, 96, of Gainesville, FL transitioned peacefully on January 30, 2025 at the E.T. York Hospice Care Center. She had a full, active life.
One of ten children, Nina was born on April 16, 1928, in Metter, GA to parents Esma Wells Bryant and Aldrich Bryant. Nina was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Wade Ring. She is survived by a brother, Rufus Bryant (Marie), her children Wade Ring, II (Shirley), Mary Miller (Mark), and her two grandchildren, David Eisele and Ciara (Josh) McCord. Survivors also include many nieces, nephews and family friends.
Nina was known for her strong will, determination and outgoing demeaner. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and enjoyed many trips throughout the states and abroad with her husband. When her children were young, she was the homemaker, supportive den mother, best birthday party planner, nurse, and chauffeur. There is no greater love given to a son and daughter than that of their mother.
After the tender years of raising her children, Nina enjoyed a career in real estate with Coldwell Banker/M.M. Parrish Realtors.
Nina’s greatest passion was being active throughout the state with The Florida Federation of Garden Clubs. She was an accomplished instructor of floral design and flower show master judge. At the local level, she was a member of the Mimosa Circle. Nina lived her life in full bloom.
While Nina spent the last few years as a resident of The Village retirement community in Gainesville, her cremains will be interred along-side her husband’s during a private family ceremony at The Florida National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd. Gainesville, FL 32606. www.beyourhaven.org.
