Ness Pessah's Obituary
Ness Pessah, age 92 of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017. He was born August 19, 1924 in Cairo, Egypt to Isaac and Elise Pessah.
Mr. Pessah was a member of Congregation B'nai lsrael. When not working, he greatly relished camping, fishing, the adventures of traveling to new places. He loved and cared for his beloved wife of 68 years Esther. Mr. Pessah worked for more than 50 years as a Research Scientist in the Departments of Pharmacology, first at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse NY, and subsequently at the University of Florida, Gainesville.
He is survived by his son Isaac N. Pessah (Beatrice Boffen), daughter Elise Eastman, grandchildren Abe, Jacob and lsaac, and two
great grandchildren, Eli and Asha.
His wonderful sense of humor and wit will be greatly missed.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 3:00 p.m., in B'nai lsrael Cemetery, the corner of East University and Waldo Road, with Rabbi David Kaiman officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to B'nai lsrael c/o Friendship Circle or Rabbi's discretion, 3830 Northwest.
