Nellie Marie Vaughan's Obituary
Nellie Marie Vaughan, 92, passed peacefully from this life on August 30, 2018. Born in Carlentini, Italy on February 14, 1926. Nellie was beloved by her family and her many friends throughout the country. Nellie enjoyed travel and was always excited for new adventures as an air force wife.
Nellie was preceded in in death by her husband of fifty years, Oscar G. Vaughan and her twin sons, Daniel Vaughan and Richard Vaughan.
Left to cherish her memory and celebrate her life are her children, Linda Vaughan and Eva Wilson, Lynne Vaughan, Carmela and Dennis Simonson and James and Rene Vaughan; five grandchildren, Tina Tosten, Jason and Rocio Vaughan, Michael Vaughan, Angela Vaughan, and Daniel and Danielle Harlow; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Her celebration of life will be at Holy Faith Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, with Fr. John Phillips as celebrant and interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
