Nancy Hadlock Moore's Obituary
Nancy Hadlock Moore, age 80 of Gainesville, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side Monday, March 26, 2018. She was born September 22, 1937 in Bangkok, Siam to Edwin Harold and Janet Hoover Hadlock.
Nancy attended the University of Florida where she first earned a Bachelor of Education and then continued on to earn a Master of Education degree. She then earned a Master of Library Science degree from Florida State University. Nancy worked as an elementary school teacher at Orange County, Florida and Alachua County elementary schools and after her family was raised, she worked at the University of Florida libraries. While her children were young, Nancy enjoyed being a mother and homemaker. In her free time, she enjoyed genealogy, origami, creating websites and reading. Nancy was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Theral Orvis Moore; sons, Steven Edwin (Kathleen) Moore and David Theral Moore; grandchildren, Sydney Estelle Moore, Elias “Eli” Taylor Moore, Tayla Moore Hunt, Thomas Johnathan Horn and Mia Akemi Moore; great grandchildren, Allison Alexandria Hunt and Austin David-Aaron Hunt and sister, Janet Thomas. She was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Hadlock.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert Shettler officiating.
