Mr. Anwar Amin Zaki's Obituary
Mr. Anwar Amin Zaki, of Miami, Florida, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023, in Gainesville, FL at the age of 83, following illness.
Mr. Zaki was born in Cairo, Egypt to the late Amin and Mariam Zaki, where he graduated from Cairo University. He immigrated to Florida in the 1980s for better opportunities for his family. He attended St. John the Baptist Coptic Orthodox and St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, both in Miami. Anwar will be remembered as a loving, caring, kindhearted father, who enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his three daughters, Jina (George) Youssef, Sylvia (Sean) Byington, and Sally (Sai) Lo; his grandchildren, Christiana, Maryana, Joseph, Emily, & Rachel; his sister Nazek Zaki and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 2:30 P. M., in the Chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Downtown, 404 North Main Street, Gainesville, with Father Gerome, officiating. Interment will follow in Countryside Cemetery.
