Growing up, visits to Inez and Marvin's always had that same warm, welcoming feeling — their home was the kind of place where you felt cared for. That same generosity stayed with my aunt: even as her own health grew frail, she kept making the trip to see my parents during my father's decline. That kind of devotion says so much about who she was. Sending love to the whole family. We will miss her very much.
I first met Inez when I became engaged to her brother in law, Ralph Brooker. She warmly welcomed me into the family. She was a talented flower designer, and as one of her first gifts to me she designed the flowers for my wedding. She and her then young daughter Sandra were in the wedding. In the decades that have flown by since then, we have remained friends, especially so in the last five years. When my dear husband's health began to fail, Inez, Sandra, and his sister Sue were our most frequent visitors.
Now she is gone. My children and I will miss her, but are confident that although she is absent in the body, she is at home with the Lord.

I remember growing up next door and having your parents share their personal library with me. I loved going into their bedroom to pick out the latest mystery
I also remember the great parties that they hosted. They always had a New Year’s Eve party. I also remember when they steamed. Big pot of oysters I the yard and I had trouble opening them up.
My fondest memories are living next door my whole life and growing up with the Brookers and Philpots on each side. What a great blessing to be so close!
