Miss Victoria Tomlinson's Obituary
Miss Victoria Dawn “Vicky” Tomlinson, 50, a resident of Ocala and longtime resident of Hawthorne, Florida, passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
Vicky was born in Cartersville, Georgia, on February 9, 1976, to the late David “Big Daddy” Tomlinson and Mrs. Linda Tomlinson. She moved with her family to Florida in 1987, and in April 1994, her life and the lives of her family changed forever following an automobile accident that left her in the loving and devoted care of her family for the remainder of her life.
Vicky loved watching Braves baseball and, as her family lovingly joked, was “encouraged” to watch Dolphins football as well. She was a longtime member of Hawthorne First Baptist Church. In addition to her beloved father, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Steven Austin Toms, and her niece, Leanne Dawn Tomlinson.
She is survived by her loving mother and devoted caregiver, Linda Tomlinson; her brothers and sisters, David (Patricia) Tomlinson, Douglas (Tracey) Tomlinson, Dennis (Michelle) Tomlinson, Russell (Faith) Tomlinson, Steven (Adina) Tomlinson, Christopher (Brandi) Tomlinson, Paula (Randy) Roberts, Tracy (Woody) Toms, Michelle (Brian) McDonald, Crystal (Aaron) Benefield, and Angel Pridgen; as well as a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Vicky will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Downtown, 404 North Main Street, Gainesville, with Rev. Robert Carter officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
