Minnie Lou McMichen's Obituary
Minnie Lou McMichen was born April 15, 1941 in Orange Heights, FL to Clarence and Naomi Hicks Adkins. She passed away peacefully at her home on November 11, 2025.
Minnie taught Sunday School and Children’s Church for many years. She was a homemaker and loved working in her yard. She loved azaleas and pink roses and she loved to play cards with her children and grandchildren. She loved reading her bible.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Roy Buell McMichen, Sr. who passed away in 1974 and she later married his twin brother Troy L. McMichen, Sr. who passed in May of 2025; her sister, Mary Bagley and her brother, Horace Adkins.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherri Peace, Stacy (Sebby) Volpe and sons Roy B. McMichen, Jr. (Claudia), Randy McMichen Sr. (Mellisa, )and step-son, Troy L. McMichen, Jr. (Merissa); grandchildren, David McMichen, Luke (Marie) Peace, Sarah (David) Peace, Haley McMichen, Steven McMichen, Brandon (Leshea) McMichen, Maegan McMichen, Bryan (Christina) Volpe, Brandy (Mike) Shover, Becky (Chris) Myers, Brooke (Steve) Volpe, Brandon (Amanda) Pickell; great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Ryker, Zoey, Sophia, Willow, Michaella, Logan, Brayden, Scarlet, Evie, Clayton, Avery, Rachel, Brandon, Colt, Bryan, Isabella, Delila, Amelia, Weslee; great great grandchild, Ava.
A graveside service to honor the life of Mrs. McMichen will be held Monday, November 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, 401 SE 21st Ave. Gainesville with Rev. Sebby Volpe and Rev. Bryan Volpe officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Williams-Thomas Downtown, 404 North Main Street.
